One Word........ BUSY!!!

Yes that one word seems to sum it all up.LOL Both boys are home Matthew came home on November 14th and Brody on November 24th. We have been busy trying to get a routine down, the key word here is trying.

They definetly have different personalities, Matthew wants everything yesterday and Brody is very patient. We are all loving them dearly and they have fit right in with the family! Their weights as of November 26 are Matthew 5lbs 4oz and Brody 4lbs 9oz.

The rest of the kids are getting excited for the holiday season. Josh and Aubreigh right now unfortunetly have bad colds and so in order to keep the twins healthy I have become militant about hand washing and using sanitizer. Also Aubreigh has to refrain from kissing the boys which until her cold was an hourly occurence :)

Doing Great!!

Both boys are doing very well!! They have both started taking a bottle and almost all of their feeds by bottle. Brody weighs 3# 9oz and Matthew weighs 4# 8oz. We were told last night to expect them home very soon!! I always thought that they were fraternal twins but after seeing this picture and all the nurses asking I'm not so sure, they maybe identical.

They have Arrived!!

Yes! We have 2 new little ones!! Welcome to the world Brody Randolph 3# 6oz & 16 1/4" and Matthew Harry 4# 4oz & 17 3/4". They were born October 29th at 7:03 & 7:04 by c-section. We joked that they wanted to be here to watch the Phillies win the world series! They are both doing very well in the NICU and we hope that they will be home for Thanksgiving. I will post what happened for them to come at 32weeks 3days when I have a little more time. Please keep them in your prayers that they continue to do well and come home soon.

31weeks 4days

Boy getting into the home stretch!! And not anytime too soon I'm starting to feel miserable by evening. Mornings are great but I'm worn out by evening. And maternity clothes are becoming very uncomfortable! Give me my XL sweats and Bruce's XL t-shirt and I'm happy. I now only get dressed in jeans when I have to leave the house and soon I don't know if that will be even possible as the maternity clothes are getting tight and I'm not buying bigger sizes.

At last weeks appt I had gained 26lbs, so doing well. Its getting harder to eat much as there is little room for food. Also both babies were breech with their heads together in my right rib. I believe now thought that Baby A has gone back to head down.

Oh and lucky me was able to finally get the car seats I wanted!!! That was the last thing I needed before the twins arrived. Seems so surreal that both of these will have a little one in them soon.

And here are the seats in the stroller.

Fall sports have just about come to an end for us here. Jacqueline and Josh are done and Sam has her last game tomorrow. Things will be settled down for a few weeks until the twins come and the holidays gear up.

As for my dad he is doing much better and was able to go back to the rehab hospital, where he is getting all the therapy he needs to come home. He hasn't been home since July 29th. I know my mom is so looking forward to having him home. It will be nice that he will be able to be home for the holidays.

Bruce's grandmother passed away this week. She had been sick so now we know she is no longer suffering. She can now be happy and see her husband again. RIP Mom Mom!! You will be missed.

29w 3d & Happy Birthday Dad!

Sorry to be dragging on updating my blog. This is such a busy time with the kids sports and school. I'm doing well and so are the babies! Last week(28w 3d) I had a growth scan done and Baby A weighs apprx. 2lbs 4oz and Baby B weighs apprx. 2lbs 8oz. They both looked great and Baby A was head down and Baby B was breech. I didn't get any pictures though from the ultrasound. So still they are kicking each other in the head. Soon I will start weekly doctors visits and NSTs (non-stress tests). As of now if Baby B stays breech it looks like I will have a c-section.

I bought our first piece of baby equipment. The Graco Duo Quattro stroller in the Rittenhouse pattern. It has matching car seats but they are on backorder every where until the end of October. I'm just crossing my fingers they aren't delayed any longer. Of course I have to pick the pattern that is the hardest to get!

Today is also a very special day in our family, its my dads birthday and even though he isn't big on celebrating it, it is a special one because he is here to celebrate it with us. So Dad "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!" We love you!!!

25w 4d

Well moving right along with a few bumps. Last week I spent 2 days in hospital for pre term labor. They put me on an IV of mag sulfate to stop the contractions and I got 2 steriod shots for the babies lungs incase they decided to arrive. All is good now and they were able to stop the contractions and the babies are still safe inside cooking. I was sent home and told to rest and am taking procardia to control the contractions. I have been doing well since coming home. At 24 weeks it would have been way too ealry for them to arrive.

So after being in the hospital I thought that I bettter start doing some things to get ready for the twins arrival. I started to wash newborn clothes and figure out what else in clothes I will need. I still need to order the carseats, stroller, nursing pillow and front carrier. I guess I better get on that soon.

Continued prayers for my dad are much appreciated as he has yet another set back that put him back in the ICU and had to have another surgery. He just can't seem to catch a break. I'm truly amazed by the human body and the strength my dad has to keep fighting!

And a rare bare belly picture, yes those are stretch marks and not from this timeyet!

23weeks!!

Sorry I have neglected my blog, we were away on vacation in the Poconos. It was wonderful! I have lots of news and I will start with the most wonderful news of all.

We left for vacation last Saturday the 16th. At 11:30pm I received a phone call from my mom that my dad was getting a liver transplant!! This was the most blessed news our family could have ever received. At 4:30am my dad went in for surgery and came out at 11:30am. He is doing well and getting better every day. Doctors said he was only days away from dying. We are very thankful that another family in their time of sorrow loosing a family member chose to donate their loved ones organs and in turn saved my dads life. So to that family whom ever you are we thank you from the bottoms of our hearts and hope you find comfort in the ultimate gift you gave.

I had my level II ultrasound on the 14th and both babies look wonderful!! And said they are measuring on target. And no we didn't find out what they are.

Well vacation was very nice and fun. We went with Bruce's whole family which their were 10 adults and 10 children altogether. With 6 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms it really was a great place for all of us to stay. Only thing that put a hamper on things for me was the fact the my feet swelled to an enormous size which left it almost impossible for me to walk, so I just hung around the house and read and knitted.

School here begins on Tuesday. Hard to believe summer is just about gone. Josh has started flag football and Sam is in full swing with field hockey. the routine around here is nice to have again.

Dr. appt

Yesterdays doctors appt went well. I saw another doctor as my doctor is on vacation. Soon after I got to my appt. the doctor had to go to a delivery, so I waited. It was about 2 hours when I got to see her and all looked great with the twins. Baby A (aka Frack) is head down so thats who is hitting me in the bladder, Baby B (aka Frick) is breech and higher up, thats whose head is in my ribs! Next week is the big level II ultrasound.

20w 3d

Well it has been a very busy 2 weeks. My dad became very ill last Tuesday and was taken by ambulance to our local community hospital. I met my mom there, and while there my dad began to have seizures. It was the scariest thing I have ever seen! They decided he would be better served at a big hospital in the city, so my dad was helicoptered to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He was in Neuro ICU for 2 days where they found he had fungal meningitis. He he now on the GI floor because they are also treating him for his Hepatitis C. He is doing so much better and he he talking, which is so wonderful to hear since he couldn't talk for 2 days after his seizures. Please keep him and my family in your prayers as this my be a long road to recovery.

We are in our final weeks until school starts less than 3 weeks now. Time is just flying! We are going on vacation in just over a week to the Poconos. It should be a nice cool and relaxing time before the huslte and buslte of school starts.

I'm starting to tire easy and have to take a nap every day at some point. The twins are becoming more active and let me know they are in there. I love every kick and punch! I have hit the half way mark and look at my belly and can't believe its going to get alot bigger LOL!!! I have a doctors appt tomorrow and then next Thursday my level II ultrasound which should be neat to see.

18weeks 3days

Time is starting to fly. Samantha went to field hockey camp this week and had a great time staying in the dorms with her other team mates. I think it was a great experience for her both socially and field hockey wise. Aubreigh missed her big sister alot and was so happy to pick her up today!

My doctors appt went well on yesterday and they both look great! I did have to ask him what I could so I can sleep I haven't been sleeping at all!! So he said I could take tylenol pm and that I did last night since it had been a week since I have slept more then 2 hours. Oh sleep was wonderful!!

Sorry I didn't get to post pictures last week of the twins, I didn't get a great shot of them to post. This week however I have 2 great pictures one of each of them. Also a belly shot of me, gee I didn't think I was any bigger until I compared the last picture to this weeks. At my doctors appt today he said they both look great. Yeah!! I have now gained 13lbs. and I honestly think its all in the belly. Kids are all doing great and enjoying summer. July is our down month before all the sports start up again.

14w 3d

Well I'm 14 weeks 3 days today and summer is in full swing around here and so is mom's taxi. Samantha has started training 3 days a week for field hockey and will be going to overnight camp at the end of July. We got all of her goalie gear, geesh foam padding is expensive!! Jac says she doesn't want to play field hockey this year but instead run cross country. Josh will start flag football the begining of August. And Aubreigh well she gets to be the cheerleader for her brother and sisters.

I have a doctors appt today so hopefully I will be able to post a picture of the twins later.

This is my first blog post I'm starting this blog so family and friends can keep up to date on us and my twin pregnancy. I'm 12 weeks pregnant with twins and starting to feel much better if it weren't for the heat wave we are having here in PA. Its supposed to be 98* today and feel like 105. Boy that's HOT!! We are all trying to stay cool in the AC.

Jac finished school on Friday and Sam and Josh will finish on Wednesday. We are all looking forward to a summer vacation. Hope all of you enjoy reading this blog.
